Supplies:
pinking shears (I can't live without them)
1/4 yard of several fabrics (total of 1-1/2 yards - I didn't use it all- 3/4 yard would do)
wreath (foam or wicker - I used wicker)
optional: monogram & paint
I found the wreath in the front / bargain section of Target for only $2.50. How great is that little section of Target?? I ordered the monogram a few months ago and thought that it would be perfect in the center of a wreath.
I cut strips of fabric about 1 inch wide and 8 inches long. I cut 25 strips of each color for a total of 150 strips of fabric. I used them all - the last couple I sort of squeezed in just to finish the pattern.
Tie one of each color - repeat, repeat, repeat.....
Wreath all done! I used white fabric to tie the monogram to the wreath in four places and used a red ribbon wrapped around the wreath to hang it from the hook on my door.
Since my college colors are red and blue, I'm going to remove the monogram and add a bulldog for football season. Go Louisiana Tech Dawgs!
