Time Flies - 4th Anniversary

It's hard to believe that it has been four years since Chris and I said "I do."

The Big Day:

We had the most amazing wedding.  It wasn't "perfect" - our ring bearer didn't have his pillow and I forgot to take my bouquet back from my MOH for the walk down the aisle after the ceremony - but it was perfect to me.  I had never dreamed of a big wedding in a castle with horse-drawn carriages - the type of event to which you must wear a big, obnoxious hat.  I never dreamed of my wedding at all really.  I just knew that wanted to marry someone I was excited to be with forever.  The pretty flowers, big white dress, dancing, and pictures to treasure forever were just icing on the delicious groom's cake.  I have two favorite memories from the wedding:

- Walking down the aisle.  Seeing all of my family and friends with big smiles on their faces and seeing Chris waiting at the end.  It was perfect.

- Dancing with my Daddy.  Not everyone in the room may have understood that the Chipmunk Christmas Song was perfectly appropriate for a Father/Daughter dance, but my Daddy did.

Hightlights of Our Year Together:

We have grown closer together through our mutual love of photography.  We took my cousin's senior portraits a few months ago, and we have a couple's photoshoot booked for later this month.  So excited about that!

We took two vacations.  The first was to Disney World in February.  The second was to Boston and Maine with our Moms.

We studied for and took the P.E. exam.  We ate frozen pizza and other gourmet meals for three weeks so that we could study in the evenings after work.  We suffered together to try to remember all that we had learned in college coupled with all that we have learned since.  We'll find out if we passed in a few months.

I am so excited for all that the next year may hold.  I'm sure that it will be great as long as I get to spend it with the best guy I know, my husband.

  1. Congratulations on your four years together... my Hubby and I have been married four months, so we're still learning so much every day. :-D I found your blog at Kelly's Korner.
