Today I am linking up with KellysKorner blog at part of her Show Us Your Life series.
Today's topic: Introduction
My name is Kelly. I have been blogging (not faithfully) for almost seven years. I am a 33 year old Southern girl and engineer. I have been married to Chris - also an engineer - for 8 years. We might be nerds... I'm not sure. We have dog (puppy-at-heart) Lily who will be 10 this year and a son Collin who will be one in May.
I love...
photography. We got our first DSLR camera in 2010 and have had so much fun on vacations capturing the scenery. We have also taken photos for a few friends - wedding, maternity, newborn. It's really special to be the person to capture those special moments for loved ones.
music. I title my blog posts with song titles or lyrics. 90's music - yes! Country music - yes! 504 boys - yes! Techno / Trance / Trap - NO!
attempting craft projects. I'm just not super talented. I've had more fails than successes with recreating projects I see online. My favorite project I've done is this candle holder.
freezer meals. Before Collin was born, Chris and I spent one entire day cooking. Those meals were life-savers when I was on maternity leave, wanted a home-cooked meal, but didn't have the energy to cook. Since then, we have freezer-prepped two other times. We don't always eat from the freezer, but it's nice to know that a meal is there if we need it. I might do a post on what we have cooked, what we liked, what we didn't, and how we improved our process along the way.
being a Mommy. We tried for quite a while before I got pregnant with Collin - 3.5 years! He is definitely worth the wait. :)
Thanks for stopping by!
Title from Hello by Ad.ele (because I hear this song 5 times a day JUST on my drive to/from work)

Hi! Loved reading your blog! I have just started my blog back up as well! Looks like you have a wonderful little family! Collin is adorable! Would love to connect with you! I love making new friends! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly, my name is Kelly too. :) I came over from Kelly's Korner. I like that you name your posts with songs! I have a friend who does all of hers with musical theater. ;) I too really like knowing I have meals in the freezer. My mom and I have done two freezer cooking sessions and each time I have also made an extra meal or two while we're doing it anyway, just tripling a recipe or two and then when someone has a baby or surgery or whatever and needs a meal I can actually take them one because all I have to do is grab it out of the freezer! Kelly
ReplyDeleteSo many Kellys! Thank you for stopping by to say hello.
