Put a little sunshine in my sky.

(This post is a little late.. oh well.)

Spring has sprung at the Watson house!  This burlap-wrapped, flowery wreath is my Craft of the Month for March (monthly craft = New Year's resolution).

I reused a burlap-wrapped wreath I had from a baby shower last year.  Underneath that hot-glued, 4" wide strip of burlap is a green styrofoam wreath.  (I had pinned the decorations to the baby shower wreath so I could use it again and again!)

Supplies:
- burlap-wrapped wreath
- 8.5x11 sheets of felt - varying colors
- straight pins
- ribbon
- fabric scissors
- of course, glue gun

**I started with regular scissors (the black ones) and ended up running to the craft store for some fabric scissors.  Since moving back to our house, there are only a few things I can't find... fabric scissors are one of them.  I searched for over an hour and decided that I couldn't do without them.  It's been a few weeks since I did this craft, and I still can't find them.

First, I wrapped the wreath with yellow and pink ribbon, pinning with straights pins in the back to keep the ribbon in place.

Next, I made the felt flowers.  I searched the Internet to find a great tutorial (at craftinessisnotoptional . com).  The tutorial is super easy, and I've used a couple of the methods for various craft projects.

Then, I cut leaves from dark green felt.

With all of the pieces made, I pinned the leaves and flowers to the wreath with straight pins.  I hung the wreath by making a loop from cream-colored ribbon.

This is just what my front door needed to welcome Spring!  I even got a compliment from one of our neighbors!!
