Hello, It's Me

We moved back to our home a few weeks ago.  I decided that, instead of rushing to unpack, I'd go through everything in our house to throw away / donate items that we don't use.  Now, I wish I could just shove everything under the beds or in the closets and forget about it.  I'm sitting in our office at home, avoiding unpacking, sorting, and organizing.  Instead, I'll just write a random post...
  • My dream home would have a two-story library with a rolling ladder, an oversized dictionary on a stand, and a really fancy globe.
  • I love Matlock!  I've seen every episode... My favorite is a two-parter about the death of a farm worker.
  • I have decided that I'm going to learn to make t-shirts quilts.  I checked online for pricing to order one made from all of my college shirts, and $600 is just too much to pay someone to cut up my shirts... I know that it's more complicated than that, but I'd much rather have fun making something than spend $$$ paying someone to do it.  I have a couple of duplicate shirts from Bid Days and Parents' Weekends, so I'll practice with those.
  • I'll always regret not auditioning for American Idol.  Don't get me wrong; I'm a terrible singer.. terrible. but I it would have been fun.
  • I get emotionally attached to clothing.  I can remember happy, sad, awkward moments that happened when I was wearing a certain item.  I have a hard time getting rid of clothes, because I feel like I'm throwing away a memory.  My Daddy NEVER took me shopping; that was something I always did with my Mom.  Once in high school (1998-ish), he took me to the mall.  I still have the shirt he bought me.  I also have a D.A.R.E. tshirt from elementary school (1992-ish.... 21 years old!).
  • Growing up, I never really liked babies.  I've always loved kids and wanted kids.  I wonder every day if that was God's way of telling me that I'll never carry a baby.  :(
  • I wish I was closer to my family.  I've always felt as if I didn't fit in with my Dad's side of the family or my Mom's extended family.  I really wish I knew them all better.
That's all folks.
