I had a super productive and fun Independence Day weekend. My goals were to apply for the PE Exam, organize my craft supplies, and print some photos for framing. Friday, I organized my craft supplies to be stored in a cabinet that my Grandmother gave me when I first moved to Houston in 2006. Saturday, Chris and I searched through photos for printing. We even tried-out Photoshop with a few of the photos to get rid of people in the background on one and a security camera on another. I didn't get around to completing the ethics exam for the PE application, but that's the plan for tonight.
As the song goes, two out of three ain't bad... especially when you accomplish something that you had on the to-do list for a year. Chris and I finally completed our "photo gallery" in our game room upstairs. We purchased 8x10-sized frames for our favorite photos, and used frames we already had that hold three 8x10 photos and that hold three 4x6 photos. It's fun to see how our photography skills have progressed in the past year or so.
While organizing craft supplies, I found a few things that got mixed up in the crafts... the ticket stubs from the movie Chris and I saw the night we got engaged - You, Me and Dupree - I remember staring at the ring on my hand the entire movie; the bow from when Chris and I took Lily to be groomed the first time - she was so cute and scared; the greeting card that was supposed to go with our gift to my best friend and her hubbie at their wedding almost three years ago - oops a little late on that; and a shot glass that I bought for my best friend from Hawaii a year and a half ago - she and her hubbie are planning a trip there in a few months so I guess we'll just keep that.
I also continued my closet purging... 5 items a day for 30 days. Today is day 9, and I haven't even gotten to shoes, purses, or belts. So far, most of the items I'm getting rid of are suitable for donation.
I need more four-day weekends!!
